Allow us to outline some of the main Christmas events taking place in the UK, and which ones might be well suited to your group.

Winter wonderland

A go-to for Christmas lovers, Winter Wonderland is one of the best ways to get in the festive spirit if you live near the capital. Hyde Park is transformed from November the 18th 2022 until January the 2nd 2023, with a wide range of attractions for all ages to enjoy. Whether it’s the giant wheel, the Bavarian Hall, or the ice rink, there will be plenty to entertain you. With a wide range of street food and winter drinks (alcoholic or not) that you can enjoy, this is an entertaining way for you and your friends or work colleagues to spend an evening in the run up to Christmas.

Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studios

It may be an attraction all year round, but The making of Harry Potter is taken to a new level over the Christmas period. The studios are given a more festive feel, the Great Hall is lined with Christmas trees, and you can enjoy ‘Hogwarts in the snow’ from 12th November 20222 to 15th January 2023. You can even dine in the Great Hall in the lead up to Christmas, with a two-course dinner complete with a Butterbeer. For Harry Potter enthusiasts, there is no better time to visit the studios than over the Christmas period.

Christmas at Kew

Transport yourself and your family to an illuminated Christmas wonderland at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew with their Christmas at Kew attraction. There are various sights to take in, such as the light, music, and water display in front of Palm House, or the Christmas Cathedral, which is covered in thousands of fairy lights. The trail around the gardens is about 1.6 miles long and will take you approximately 75 minutes to complete, so it’s a great way to get in the Christmas spirit. You can even enjoy a Christmas dinner at The Botanical Restaurant.

Blenheim Palace

One of the UK’s most eye-catching Christmas attractions, Blenheim Palace is transformed with lights and Christmas attractions and has plenty to offer, including illuminated trails with a range of street food vendors. New for 2022, The Kingdom of the Snow Queen sees the inside of the palace transformed, with the state rooms full of hidden surprises for you to discover. There is also a Christmas market and afternoon tea for you to enjoy throughout the Christmas period. The festivities run from 18th November to 2nd January 2023, so there is plenty of time for you to book a trip.
